Acer has announced their first Windows 8 tablet, the Iconia W700. The device will retail for $799 just like Asus and Lenovo's Windows 8 tablets, and launch on the 26th, as well. 1080p in 12"? fail when it comes to productivity.

i don't know why but i have terrible experience with bluetooth devices. mice, keyboards, all fail for me.

Heh. Yeah, 1080p at that screen size = TINY icons and text, unless you enlarge both. Funny how few people know how to do that ^^' ...

$800 tablet? I'm not so sure I'm ready to flop down that kind of coinage for a tablet at all. You could just about get a gaming laptop for that kind of money.

I just don't feel the love here.

wow 800.00 there high as a kite and 64 gig's storage ha ha ha ha windows 8 requires 15 gig's of hard drive space to install

The M$ SWurface IS about $300. The Surface Pro is supposedly going to cost ~$500.

After all the updates, Win 8 is going to eat up 1/3 of that 65 gigs of storage. So now you're talking about a $800 computer with 40 gigs of usable storage.
