Disappointed in the iPad mini. Mainly due to the price. Was hoping Apple would price it at least around $250 to try and slow down the Kindle and Nexus but at $329 it's just a smaller iPad 2. Might as well get the iPad 2 for $399.

The resolution really doesn't matter to most users...sure, you can have smaller fonts, but if the user can't see them, then they might as well just be blurred by lack of resolution.
So, Apple has a smaller default font size...while Google deciced to default to a larger font so that people who couldn't read small fonts would be able to use the device and not need someone with better eyes to change the setting for them...is that really something to brag about?
How about this...I can block advertising on my Android, drastically increasing the content on the display while also decreasing data use. Now that's a feature that makes web navigation more enjoyable and user-friendly! And speaking of navigation...my Android has WORKING NAVIGATION too!

AAAAND.... the reason why I will probably never buy another apple product rears its ugly head. Just as I was getting sucked in by the base specs I was reminded...

Here here! I totally agree with you! Can't stand Apple and their greed. I just can't believe that there are people out there stupid enough to buy an ipad, just to 'fit in the crowd' or to be the centre of attention. A shame, a great big shame to society as a whole. F U Apple!

Kind of reminds me of the Sony memory stick price model. Look how great that has turned out for them. Maybe someday some of them will wake up.
