After I encoded and ripped the file (avi file) the screen didnt look right (cut off some of the bottom). I used 4:3 525 Line (NSTC) but it wasnt the default setting when I chose the file. Should I have used the default or does it matter? Im confused on what aspect ratio is right for each file I use. If anyone could explain this to me, Id appreciate it.

Thanks

Use Settings-->Advanced-->Full Screen (keep aspect ratio) and, if you want to encrease the Y axis losing some useless X axis, use 'Clip Frame' N pixels left, N pixels right.

Hi,

By selectng Full Screen (keep aspect ratio) does that mean itll stay the same size as the orginal copy? And if I do that, will it be Full Screen on the TV?

while im on the thread ill reply :-)

Changing to full screen (keep aspect ratio) will make sure it doesnt stretch on the TV. Basically you can change any settings you want with regard to Aspect Ratio but TMPGEnc needs you to tell it out you want the output video arranged!
