According to multiple reports, Google has been distributing a test version of Google Maps for iOS to some beta testers outside of the company. Golden Standard or not it helps to get your location right in the first place..!

Im going to be pretty surprised if apple accept the app off the bat and are more likely to get picky with it and rejecting it for as long as possible.

I would have to disagree on the basis Apple screwed up on release of the Apple maps. It would be in Apple's best interest to get Google's version approved quickly.

Great I can't wait for the google maps app, then I will update my IOS from 5 to 6, as at the moment I use the maps and there for will not upgrade to IOS 6 as the maps are usless at the moment
