Very cool! I'm downloading DOA right now. To bad there aren't more movies I want to see, but hey even getting one for free makes it worth checking out.

DOA is a good one. One of the first that I did. There are some other very good ones as well. The film selection is not great but I guess it is all they have been able to get the rights to make available so far.

It's about time someone posted information about moives that aren't pirated. I love old "black and whites" and there's tons of them now in Public Domain but they're hard to find. Really cool site but now AD members are going to "bottle neck" their bandwidth. LOL
DOA is an excelent first choice and an all time favorie of mine. At 3.9 gigs I think I'll wait until bedtime, even with DSL its going to take a few hours.

Same here! Double Indemnity is another great one, but I didn't see it listed. Ahhhhhh Barbara Stanwyck. Those were the days when beautiful women dressed beautifully. They didn't have to rely on baring flesh to be beautiful.

Ahhhh Double Indemnity, that's one of my favorite movies of all time. I heard they are re-releasing it on DVD soon. Too bad MacMurray and Stanwyck (hot hot hot!) aren't around to do some commentary. That would be fantastic!

Ah! bigorange but they did show a little flesh in those days. They'd turn to get out of their taxi's or walk over a subway grating and their skirt's would rise just enough to expose their upper thighs, enough to spark the imagination. They'd lean forward and their firm breasts would fall a little forward as they raised their heads and while smiling at you they melted you with their eyes.
Raw flesh just can't touch the delightful meanderings of the human imagination and that's what a lot of these older films sought to do.

My wife just read our little exchange, she thought it to be quite humorous. She totally agreed with Nephilium's remark "Those were the days when beautiful women dressed beautifully. Now instead of doing CCE we'll all be downloading some of these classics. BTW I getting ready to backup the Butterfly Effect and I noted you had already done it and used DVDremake. Ddi you find much to trim and if so can you post it on the remake and other tools site?
