Gmail users can now send attachments up to 10GB

Google has announced today that Gmail Drive has been integrated into Gmail, allowing for larger attachments.
The new integration allows for 10GB files to be sent through email, a massive upgrade over the current 25MB limitations.

Yeah usually if I need to share a large file I just throw it on dropbox. One upload, many downloads vs many uploads, many downloads. There's a time and place for each though.

i'm all for more options to share a larger amount of media. many people still use e-mail. i use it daily. i had a dropbox account and barely glanced at it once i had it.

Its a good cloud email Idea and the pi5wtes don't need to use this when they have jumbo files that gives them 500gb of space and they can upload what they want to there. for me this will be great as most of my family use gmail and we send pictures all the time to each other and not just one or 3 the other day I got over 150 photos and they where all png files.

Dropbox limits to 300MB via web upload but upload limit via "folder" is dictated by DB size only. I've got 10.8GB yo!
As for Skydrive..........LIE! Tried doing a 2GB file month or two ago.....denied.

Er without data resume from pauses or loss of connection what good is it?
Copyright infringement is nothing more than civil disobedience to a bad set of laws. Lets renegotiate them.

I use Pando to send large amounts of data through my e-mail.It works with any type of e-mail account and is free. The paid for version allows you to send up to 3 GB's of data.
I have used it to send my friends in the Philippines copies of movies I converted to MP4's.It depends on your ISP how fast you can transfer data back and forth. Both you the sender and the recipient have to have the program installed on your computer for it to work.You don't need to have an unlimited data plan either.

Ive got 50GB for the next few years thanks to my S3 :) i think there is a modified apk out there for other phones, that said ive heard dropbox has detected some of the accounts where the patched apk was used for the upgrade.
