RIM shows off BlackBerry 10 teaser

article published on 10 December, 2012

Over a month before its launch, RIM has showed off a quick teaser of the upcoming BlackBerry 10 phone, codename "London." London has been in development for the better part of two years, and RIM's teaser shows that the phone will have aesthetics different from existing devices. Moving to the "mesh-leather" look of the Nexus 7, there was little else revealed about the phone. RIM ... [ read the full article ]

Well if this doesn't fly off the shelves, I don't know what will.

I think RIM need to call it a day; at least something will be salvaged when whoever buys all their patents and whatever hardware tech they've got, no?

be interesting to see it live, while ios and android are good in their own right they are crap os for the corp side.

If bb can get the office apps etc working really well on their phones it could be quite good.

From what I heard of people who use BB phones in the work place and then switched to iphone or even android they wish they hadn't bothered.

as iphone and android are great for the games and kids scene in the bizness world they just don't cut it poor email and exchange handling and then contact details and handling just isn't good enough besides trying to get office docs and spreadsheets working right so you can work with them just isn't there on android and I have paid office apps and suites.

IMHO all they need to do are a couple of policy changes.

Allow 3rd party voip services.
Allow 3rd party internet texting services.

Maybe 3 changes.

Allow wifi higher priority over data service. This would work for me. It would bring down my TCO to Android level.
