According to sources, Intel's virtual cable TV service with set-top box will launch soon on a city-by-city basis, allowing it to bypass many of the licensing hurdles that have delayed its launch to date. Why bother with it now? Shouldn't have this been the in thing like 5 years ago? Intel should move their resources to better R&D projects.

Well, money is the outcome. Microsoft, Intel and other bedtime buddies are trying get more and more of the green stuff. Most likely this product will also be over priced just like their other products. It will fail and the general public will be left holding the bag and paying the after bill.
