Google has announced it will be offering free Wi-Fi in Chelsea, an affluent neighborhood in Manhattan. The company's local headquarters is located in Chelsea, and the 13-block neighborhood is very populous. With Google already predisposed to snooping into peoples private affairs, their supplying the WiFi and running it themselves will make it a lot easier than driving around searching for a random connection as they had done in the past.
