The UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has fined Sony for the massive data breach in 2011 of its PlayStation Network.
In 2011, the attack led to the leak of personal details of over 100 million users.

I'm not too upset about the 2 years, investigations do take time.... but I think the fine is exceptionally low considering how many users were affected...

Well, it's ridiculous, and the fine is absurd.... Must be nice to be a huge outfit like Sony (OR Microshaft !!) They screw folks, play tiddlywinks with Anti-Trust concerns and at times become outright Arrogant with their users. And they usually get told, "No-no..don't you do that again..." (until next time).... And then like the 400k on Sony.... well..... And Sony will probably be let off the hook in one way or another. Anyone knows, that "fines" against these companies are a Joke !!! Not Ha-Ha Funny, but "Funny WTF" !!!
