How much should I expect to pay for an Xbox pre-mod?

Just a Xbox premodified, but not with a bigger HDD or anything. I want to order one, but I don't want to over-pay. Also, if could someone explain the ups and downs of the leading modchips, and maybe wich one(s) is the best? THANKS!!!!
