(1) Have you checked the guides? (Use the "Guides" tab at the top of the page.) There's a ton of useful info in all the guides.
(2) Sounds like you have the DVD on your hard drive. (a) How big is it? (b) Is it one .iso file or is it a video_ts folder full of files with extensions like .bup, .ifo, and .vob? (Decrypter could have ripped to your hard drive either way.) The answers to these questions will determine how you can burn.
(3) What other software do you have (e.g., Nero, Shrink, RecordNow, whatever)? What are your system specs? Again, these things help determine what you can do and how you can do it.

In the meantime, if the original DVD was a DVD-5 (smallish movie -- i.e., the file[s] now on your hard drive are <4.4gb), use this guide to learn how to use Decrypter: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/small_dvd_2_dvdr.cfm .

Good luck & come back with any questions! :-)

Unless you are ripping a type 5 DVD, you won't be able to fit it onto a single DVD-R without using a transcoder to copress it first.

Let's get you started on the simple path first. Below is a link that will take you to a walk through guide. Follow it closely and you get your backup.

Sophocles gave you a link to a great guide. After you get familiar with the steps in it, you might want to try burning with RecordNow just to give yourself another option (and since you already have it). It's the program I use almost exclusively -- it came with my Sony DVD burner and is a cinch to use. All I do is click on "data disc" (I know it's counter-intuitive since you're doing a VIDEO disc, but it works), click on "add files and folders" to browse to the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders that Shrink created, add them, change the "Volume Label" to a name of my choice (normally the movie name or an abbreviated version if it doesn't all fit), and click "burn." Fifteen minutes later (if I'm using a 4x disc), I have my DVD.

Just another option for the future. Good luck!
