Internet Explorer 10 now available for Windows 7

Microsoft has quietly rolled out its latest Internet Explorer 10 browser for Windows 7 users.
The release preview was made available in mid-November, and the final version is now available to W7 users, which remain the majority of Microsoft's customers.
IE10 had previously only been available to Windows 8 users.

Been happy with IE10 so far. It is fast, all the pages I have gone to work with no issue. Firefox will remain my other browser choice as my experiences with Chrome have been disappointing. Chrome has speed but that is about it but I will sacrifice a millisecond or two to know that pages I go to will load correctly and not have Google tracking my browsing habits for their marketing purposes.

Internet Explorers reputation was shot with me a loooooong time ago. Unless there's something revolutionary about this version, I'm good.

I would download this just to keep my technical skill up to date as work places will always up date the IE versions and you have to learn how to use the new package.

using the link provided here it takes me to the ms ie 10 dl page but if i choose either 32 or 64 bit for the dl it just tells me no such site on both firefox and chrome.

Damn straight Bobiroc. Unfortunately along with Chrome comes DoubleClick spyware .

good point.i guess i will have to get at least a little familiar with it.i dont deal much with workplaces,mostly private computers

Hell, I work for the City I live in (Fire Officer) and we're still on XP with IE7! The entire City network, not just our department...
They told us by end of 2012 we'd be on W7 and IE9 but it never happened. Now that some sites we need are updating and IE7 is no longer accessing them, instead of rolling out the much needed OS/browser upgrade, they've simply installed Firefox on key terminals and the rest of us have to ask others to get our information we need.
I can say unequivocally that workplaces will NOT "always update the IE versions"...lol

Me either works just fine in all of my browsers, Avant, Iron (Chrome), SeaMonkey, IE 8 & 9. I won't use Firefox anymore it is crap these days.

On my old XP machine, Exploder8 seems to still clunk along quite well . . . . however, on my W7 machine Firefox still seems to be a tad better
Ubuntu is still superior to XP or W7 for my purposes

If your purposes concern "security through obscurity" then may I recommend Puppy Linux or Linux Lite as Ubuntu incorporates spyware now that reports to Amazon.

IE10 is working really nicely on my Windows 7 PC.
I also have Chrome & Firefox on it for the occasions when something goes awry but with this new one (10) it's not happened yet.

Yah, I gave up on FF some time ago too. I was a big time Avant fan awhile back, how is it these days? Tested the new IE for awhile and it does seem quite snappy, I'll have to give it a bit more of a time test and then run some of my security "pokes" at it to see how it handles them.

Avant is OK but sometimes the YBrowser doesn't close proper in the task manager and can cause problems, but that doesn't happen often. The other thing I don't like about it is the AD blocker they use, I wish I could use ADBlockPlus instead. One nice thing about Avant is I can share Favorite with IE and both work seamlessly together. I like Chrome but don't like the Google tracking so I use Iron mostly which is one of the Chrome alternatives. Instead of using FF, which isn't good anymore,I use SeaMonkey and it seems OK for a plain Jane browser that you can use ADBlocker with. Orca is Avant's version of FF but it too isn't so great like FF so I didn't mention that one and don't use it often.
