Ya know..........."Probably" only has two more letters in it and it shows you actually know how to spell and use the English language somewhat correctly.
Just sayin'
As for article........I think console replacements are unneeded at this stage regarding the development of software. Games are not getting exponentially better in detail as they did when transitioning from Xbox/PS2 -- Xbox360/PS3 and games will likely look the same on a PS4/Xbox Next as they do on current models.

Yes, and "You" is is only slightly more taxing to type than "Ya" mate.
I'm pretty confident that my own ability to articulate "the English language" eclipses your leaden lumpen prose hearme0.
I only wrote "prolly" for fun, the first and only time I've done that, and what-do-you-know some nit-picking prat pulls me up on it. LOL.

"Sources say the new Xbox software will be based on Windows 8"
I wonder if that will kill new Xbox sales like it's killing new PC sales?

I wonder if they'll be announcing the new 'Stingray' Xbox 360 and not the Xbox 720?

This piqued my interest as x86 (32bit) Doze8 still can only access less than 4gig DRAM like the previous versions... so I did a bit of research. Long story short, the tech for x86 to be able to read more than 4gig ram has existed for a while it just that the drivers have to be compatible (and too many are still not so MS don't take the risk). They should have that covered I expect for the new xbox.
SCE will be basing theirs on the Linux kernel I hope... which would be very interesting for the future of OpenGL gaming.

The move to 64 bit computing generally is long overdue, I think.
Plainly too few will move on their own so people like Microsoft really ought to drive this.
I think 64 bit Xbox (like 64 bit PS4) is a welcome step along the way to this.

You might have missed it... but the processing chips for the WiiU, the PS180 AND the next Hexbox are/will be AMD/ATI. Not sure about the WiiU but the architecture for the other two is x86 only Interestx. The x64 components have been stripped out to save costs. It's comes down to nickels and dimes. The game producers only want to write in 32bit too so they are very happy. It's why I wrote my previous post. This explains it:

PS: The PS2 was 128bit did you know?

Please don't call it Durango, I think that's a name for a truck... As a gamer, I'm interested what MS have to say in May. Hey Jemborg, thanks for the little technical details.
Peace!

Try out the latest Classic Shell (free) it's meant to be excellent. Anyhow, the Win8 kernel is what they will be using and it's DirectX library is what the deal is all about. They won't include the Win8 PC/tablet interfaces and will naturally pare it right back to the bare necessities. Win8 is by all accounts fine to play games on... the only good thing I've heard about it actually, desktop-wise.
Hey Gnawnivek, you're welcome! ...Anyway, I got told I had to be informative or I'd get the boot lol.
