I've used a 7" Android tablet (with 720p HD screen & 5000mAh battery which gave it a decent life) and I could easily see this being a popular all-rounder size.

Is 6.3" still pocketable though? I love bigger phones like the Note but I'm not too sure about this one...

It would be more of a sale if bluetooth came with the device.

Exactly... Battery issues aside, in which pocket is anyone supposed to place a device so huge? Will we males need to start wearing handbags always thanks to Samsung? 6.3" is dangerously close to 7". That is, the size of the first Samsung Galaxy Tab. As a matter of fact, when such tabs started to show up, we used to take pictures of us at work using them as regular phones when testing an IP calling app, only to mock ourselves because we looked ridiculous. About 4.5" is the optimal size for me.

I think that generally the problem is with the US market. For whatever reason DVD, BluRay and the video players built into the TVs sold in the US do not support Divx or xVid. The same model numbers sold in Canada and the rest of the world fully support these container formats.

Similarly I have not seen 3G versions of Samsung tablets being sold in the US. Maybe these new larger size phones are substitutes for the 3G tablets with removable batteries. Who knows!

BTW from my own experience and of all the people I know, Samsung phones has the best battery life.

Thank Zeus I love fancy cargo pants!

(And this sausage-fest doesn't take into account the gentler sex and their love of handbags).

So Samsung makes phone from 4-6 inches now. And then the tablet series. Sounds just like Apple: "Conquer every size"

Phones that big are useless. It is actually better to get a tablet. They last longer and have better support. If you want multimedia presentation and note-taking, please use your laptop or tablet.

In the near future, your phone-tablet-computer-watch-glasses-socks-toothbrush-nail clipper will be in one convenient ring-sized shape that uses plasma energy from the sun and has a urine purification system that generates the cleanest water on this planet. All while using its own dedicated $10,000,000,000 satellite to track planetary movement in our neighboring galaxy, Andromeda.

"... urine purification..."? I'm gonna need that!

But with the larger phones you don't need reading glasses... something my brother loves with his Galaxy Note.

5.8 is perfect for me. I do not have to squint. A tablet in my position is useless but this, ideal.

This is superman

Any big pockets, because the mobile generator you will need too also carry to run the phone will balance you up.

i wouldnt call it a phone i'd call it a mini computer with calling functions.

i have seen a urine purification device on some tv show it was basically a flask that heats the urine up to a very high temperature and within minutes it turns clears.

think cargo pants have big pockets i remember the wu-tang jeans as a teenagers fit a 17inch moniter in them pockets.

This looks cool! I want one. I have a 7" now and it's just a little too big to stuff in most pockets, so yes, I put it in a small hand bag.
The GALAXY Mega 6.3 is 88mm wide, that's 3.46". That will fit fine in a big pocket. The screen goes almost right to the edge, that's the ticket.

Yes, I can understand that some people may like or want this, but I think they will be a very small market. I don't know in your countries, but in mine it's fairly hot during the summer season, so I spend a big part of the year wearing just jeans and a t-shirt, no jacket. That device wouldn't fit in any of my pockets, and I don't want to carry a handbag because I'm not used to it and I'm quite absentminded, so I would lose it sooner or later (probably much more sooner than later).
