Facebook has announced today that the Facebook Home user interface is available on five Android devices. Besides the HTC First, which features the software, the UI is available for the HTC One X, HTC One X+, Samsung Galaxy S III, and Samsung Galaxy Note II. Any Android app should be available to the entire ecosystem, provided a certain API level.

It makes sense to say that this WIDGET (which, in short, is all that it is), or any other app, will be available to 4.0+ devices, for instance. Claiming it will be only available in a few determined smartphones denotes only bad coding practices, incompatibilities not foreseen, tested or worked around, and so on. Which is, indeed, what facebook coders have been doing since the launch of their platform. I, for one, won't miss this crap. I wouldn't enable it even if I could.
