I think that now the NextBox is supposed to have HDMI input which I assume is for your Cable/Satellite box to plug into they do not see a market for a dedicated device for streaming and TV content despite that it would be cheaper than the NextBox. Something like that may actually hurt themselves by competing with themselves

Possibly over-rated, even.
On the surface it is, of course, nice and everything to do.
But quite often it's better to get the 2nd or 3rd wave of something when all the bugs have been ironed out.
