article published on 31 May, 2013

Yesterday, Razer unveiled their "Blade" notebook, a device they claim is the 'world's thinning gaming laptop.' The notebook is just 0.66-inches thick, and the company says it offers "more power-per-cubic-inch than any other laptop in the world." Under the hood is a 4th generation Intel Core processor (Haswell), a new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 756M GPU, 8GB of 16000 Mhz DDR3L memory and 128GB ... [ read the full article ]

i wonder how hot this will be. in my experience, a laptop running game and blu-ray should be large enough and have a good cooling system to dissipate the heat. not so easy with a small lappie.

Impressive specs given it's size, but therein lies the problem...the screen's just too small for a gaming laptop.

Wait...the video says it's a 17'' screen, but the AD article says it's a 14''. TYPO?

Hmmm...based on the keyboard, the screen seems to be a 17"...a bit small for a expensive gaming laptop, but certainly better than 14". Personally I don't care about how tiny it is; it is performance and capability (and price) that matter to me. Give me a big screen, a good CPU and GPU, room for a 2TB hard drive, and a trackpad where I can reach it while one-hand typing (I'm a lefty). Plus, it should be impossible to overheat or even get so warm it is uncomfortable on the lap..even if I'm burning a bluray while watching netflix and doing a full system stress test. Give me those things for a fair price and it can be the size of a brief case.

[edit]
Oh, and if there is room for 2 hard drives so I can have redundant disks, that is great too.

This is the wrong video. The video is for the 17" pro model, not the thin 14" model. Way to confuse everyone.

That means no mobility though, therefore defeating the purpose.
