AMD has made it clear it has no plans to enter the smartphone and tablet SoC market. There have been rumors of such a move for some time now, especially since rival Nvidia offers its Tegra chips for the ARM architecture. Yeah, because why would they want to do that? Really, how many people own smartphones in this day and age? Smartphones are never going to catch on and no one plays games on their phones anyway.
