I have downloaded movies onto my hard drive in various formats and transcoded and burnt them with nero onto DVD-R successfully for a while, but now all of a sudden when i transcode films, then burn them, when played back, the timing is out, the words and mouth are out of sync and the picture is, sort of stop start.

I`ve uninstalled and reinstalled nero, had my machine reformatted, but the problem still exists.

It`s not during the burning process, cos it burns files already encoded, which i have in folders on my hard drive, the problem is occurring during Transcoding, has anybody got any ideas of what my be the problem and how i can sort this out?

Thanks 2 anyone who maybe able to help me

Many Downloaded AVI files use the "VBR Mp3" audio format..and because this audio is VBR it"s data Packet size is Variable so when this format is encoded to another format which uses a CBR audio format then the audio Length changes and causes it to go out of Sync...

To fix this you have to decompress the audio in the AVI file...You can use Virtual-Dub to do this or if you PM me with your e-mail address I can send you a simple tool that will turn your AVI file with Compressed VBR audio to an AVI file with Uncompressed audio....

If you are useing Nero to encode your AVI files to Mpeg2 for DVD then you should consider useing something else cuz Nero is well known for useing one of the worst Quality Mpeg encoders ever created..
