Sony has announced the release date for the PlayStation 4 across the globe.
In the U.S. and Canada, the $399 console will go on sale November 15th, with Latin America and Europe getting the console two weeks later the 29th.

Can you not wait to get the PS4 or is XBox one the shit???
And nothing like buying a brand new console that offers the EXACT SAME GRAPHICS and playability as the prev. generation console and only offers new 'sharing' capabilities.
Save your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This "last generation" of consoles is taking ALL buyers for fools that see this as an upgrade from the PS3/Xbox 360.
These consoles really are a scam...if the PS3 had a single DDR3 slot and a PCI-E x4 slot, they could offer a $150 upgrade kit that would make it just as capable as the PS4. PC's have been evolving at extreme speed, consoles haven't moved in 6 years, and now they are going to update to 4-year-old specs?
But that isn't the issue...the issue is that both Sony and Microsoft are doing everything they can get away with...going back on the things that people complain about the most...with no promises that they won't bring them later. In fact, no promises would matter anyway because they both have mandatory contracts that say they can change the contract at any point (and if you don't agree to the new contract, your system and games are useless)...and they also put a restriction against class action lawsuits in there to be sure you can't sue if they do something completely insane or irresponsible.
In the world of software there are 4 levels of decreasing freedom...
Free Software (So free it usually doesn't work without other software)
Open Source Software (Essentially free...except it works)
Commercial Software (Not free, generally allowing 3rd party modifications)
Console Software (As free as a prison...and getting worse with the next generation)
Gotta agree with you, KB. Crap like this is one of the reasons I'm glad I've stuck with PC and not jumped on the console train.
The PC side of things is also starting to see some interesting innovation among the indie circuit. Developers are starting to break the publisher mold, which makes me all warm and fuzzy for the future of gaming :)
