SanDisk has unveiled the fastest memory card in the world, the Extreme Pro CFast 2.0. As the product name suggests, it is based on the CFast 2.0 draft specifications released by the CompactFlash Association recently - the first of its kind. Really CF is still a thing? I thought most card readers had dropped it and I haven't seen a laptop with one built in since the early part of the millennium.... Those speeds are insane though, but I have to imagine that if a film buff had the money for this they would rather go with something more in the SATA SSD terabyte range that are just coming out also.

I think its main use is for high end cameras, DSLR and what not. For some reason high end cameras are still using compact flash. Maybe they're more reliable, or maybe because they are lightning quick.

2tb has been promised with 300Mbps write speeds.
