After long threatening to do so, Kim Dotcom has sued the New Zealand government over the illegal spying against him and the raid on his home and personal property.
The government admitted the spying was illegal, and a New Zealand court granted Dotcom the rights to sue earlier this year.

the only trouble is, the taxpayers are the ones that pays for all these government $hit heads ! so overall they're really still getting away with it. you pay the taxes for them to spy on you, and then you pay a lawyer to defend yourself against the government who uses your money to attack you. Great strategy.
If anything, blame the American movie industry and government for all of this spying that's going around now. Hell, the NSA had Microsoft create a backdoor in their OS for this same shit last century. Honestly, the world would be better off without Hollywood.
