Can anybody tell what the size thickness is DVD covers are. The regional covers that come with the DVD movie. I am trying to come up with a solution, what type of paper to use to print my DVD covers with.

Sony SR-11, 27" Imac.

just use normal paper, if youre in the uk and have different sized paper then i dont know.

but i use 8&1/2' by 11' paper, then print to fax sized print, which makes it come out perfect.. you just need to cut off the white extra area. If your software is different just play around with it until you figure it out.. but normal paper should work.

i aslo use photo paper for my covers.. yeah the standard sixe .. U.S. size anyway works perfectly.

you can go to costco and get the epson photo paper for 20 bucks.. it comes with 120 sheets.

it prints and leaves about 1/8th of an inch of white on both sides.. then another white area on top and bottom which is give or take an inch, which you need to cut off. and then it fits in perfectly. on my printer software an option comes up that says, "full page fax print" and "full page photo print".. the fax one is the one to use.. the full page photo makes the photo borderless and so it wont be the right size. fax print doesnt mean it loses quality.. its just the size.

I looked for good DVD cover paper for a while and best I found so far is the HP semi-glossy paper. It doesn't stick to the covers plastic and prints a great picture also costs only 14 bucks for a hundred at Staples.

Plextor PX-712A Rocks!

I use A4 size 150gsm Photo Satin paper, the photo satin paper does not "stick" to the inside of the DVD case and that weight is easy to bend around the spine. When I scan and copy an existing cover I normally print it out at 101% scale as I have noticed some commercial covers are a bit undersize.

I use Epson Photo Quality Inkjet paper. It is 27# weight and that seems about right for me. You can buy it at Best Buy for about $15.00 for 100 sheets. I order mine from www.epson.com because they carry 8.3 X 11.7" (A4) paper. It is much better suited for labels than 8.5 X 11" paper. This paper is not glossy, but it looks the same when it is inserted into the DVD case. Also it doesn't stick when you slide it in. The last I bought from Epson was $13.00 and $1.50 shipping (100 sheets). Ordered it on Monday and got it on Friday.
