is it at all possible to back up a dvd+rw to another dvd+rw i have tried to copy an already copied film both of the disks are the same 4.7 gb dvd rw
i tried this in nero as it claims to be able to do on the fly copies of dvd
but all i get is that the source medium is not big enough for the file ????
the film is only 3.1 gb
i have also tried clone cd and primo
and i get the same error message
surely this should work as i am only trying to copy a copy??
could some one help me with this as this is the only reason i bought the dam dvdr rw

Hollowman; Have you tried anything that works yet, as I am in the same boat and would like to find out how to do DVDR to DVDR movies. I used the same software DXCP 321; DXCExpress; Nero 6.3.0.2. I attemtpted to use DXC Rescue last night but reading the DVDR with the movie was taking hours.

use DVD Decrypter to make an iso image, then burn it. don't copy dvds on the fly.

V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

don't copy dvds on the fly

Why?

There is no problem so big, that a brick placed against the proper skull cannot fix =)

sly_61019; being a newbie and slow on the uptake (I'm an aussie who likes simple english)can you expand as to why no DVD's on the fly. Also, I am not actually wanting to do a copy of a DVD9 movie (DVDMv), but wanting to do a copy of my backup DVDR movie (DVDRMv) to another DVDR blank. The original DVDRMv was done using DXCP 321

If copying the DVDRMv as an .iso image, will Nero image do the same?

Copying on-the-fly will often produce data transfers errors (for most ppl).

And DVD X Copy by 321 is a bad proggie in my opinion , as stated by me a lot of times ;-)
Who wants warning screens at beginning of back up - lol

hey herbman is it through regedit that yoo can actually turn the setting from 1 to 0 and that gets rid of the flash screen that 321 puts up on all the backups .

hi ya Viper6699 am i getting your hopes up.I wish it works as i actually heard this from a source who said it was possible.Maybe i'm doing it wrong as all i got was windows telling me that it had errors and was shutting down.End result so far , have had to return the settings through regedit back from 0 to 1,delete the entire platinum version even the registry files and then re install before it would actually work.
I think the solution is starring me in the face and given more time it will happen

hope you have better luck than me
