i bought 200 prodisc inkjet printable dvd-r's for 100 dollars. So far there is not one coaster out of ~125 burnt at 4x, with my plextor px-708a, and the surface is awesome to print on, it prints all the way to the hole.
just thought id let people know about them, it was a decision between these and the riteks but the riteks review said the printable surface was too glossy and didnt look right. The prodisc's are awesome, and surrisingly cheap at 50 cents each.
Actualy, 200 right now are $80.00. You can get 200 8X inkjet printable Prodisc for $110.00. The price must have dropped since you bought them. The last ones that I bought from supermediastore.com were $39.00 for 100. I have only ever had a couple of coasters. I use Ritek when I have a DVD that has nothing to print in the hub area. Otherwise I stick with Prodisc. I only use the -R, because my burner doesn't seem to like +R very much. They will burn but lots of errors with Kprobe.
Been using these disks for over six months.I print on epson r300.No coasters. Just bought 500 for $210 Free ground shipping at americal.com. They will burn in 8 to 9 minutes on my nec 2500a drive with the beta firmware.
