I'm having a time with my DVD Burner and Windows XP.
I have just made mp3 copies of some music. Used Nero 6 to create a data dvd, copied the mp3's onto disk. The copy went smoothly onto a DVD-R disk. I go to explore the DVD in windows and I get the following message:
Disk is not formatted
Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows.
I can look at the DVD and see that data (or something) has been burned onto there.
This same error occurs after I backup movies. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to test the movies on a player that supports DVD-R, but will this week. I also try to play the movies using Intervideo WinDVD Recorder v5, nothing plays. When I try to see what is on the disk when exploring the drive in Windows, same error. I've tried several different movies. No luck. I have used DVD X Copy Platinum (both the advanced and express). I've also tried DVD Shrink v3.1. I have a Samsung 8X DVD+/-RW (updated the firmware, same error). The disk drive plays the original movie just fine.
I'm about to pull my hair out. If anyone can think of anything that I may be doing wrong, please let me know. Any help would be appreciated. The burner is brand new and I'm thinking that may be the problem.

So nothing burned will work, huh? Did you install Nero's InCD4? You could try updating your aspi layer, and making sure your ide settings are set to DMA. Do you have a cd burner also or just the dvd burner?

I have a cd burner and it works fine with Nero. I don't have InCD4. I'm going to return it tonight and get something different.

So you have two burners, a dvd burner and a cd burner?

I returned the dvd burner to the store I purchased from. It ended up being a bad burner. They tested it out for me which was nice. It was burning onto the disk but wouldn't read the disk. These same disks weren't readable on several other dvd drives. So, I purchased a different one and now everything is working well.
Thanks for all your help. This is a good forum for dodos like me. :-)

Help!!!!!
I need help plz im getting really mad iv jus wated for ages to download this game and its downloaded now ad iv burned it to a CD-R when i put it in my DVD drive it boots up then it say

You need to be a little more specific. What exactly are you trying to do and with what programs?

What format is the download in? When did you download it from? And, also what programs are you using?

when i download the game the file type was Nero image, its a game, the programmes i use is Nero 6 , discjuggler, CDRWIN, i downloaded it from Emule like Kazaa, is that a all m8 or more hope u can help me :(
