The companies had been developing new OLED tech, but there are still no true mass-market models of the ultrathin, vibrant TVs. 4K broadcasts are 7 or more years away.......a waste of money on a virtually non-existent technology at this time. OLED should be well on it's way but seeing the delay makes me think it's not gonna happen.
4K is the way to go. We gonna start seeing it, to take off in 6 months tops.
OLED: I always was no sure about it ,cos price.
LCD with no moving mirrors still ok.
Hitachi make LCD's with "3" moving mirrow's.
I have be reading that no moving mirrow (in the back) is better tech, like the Sony 85" I have since '04 without any problem. (just change the lamp when it wore-down; that's it).
