Sony preparing to sell its PC business to investment partners

According to the Japanese business daily, Sony is preparing to sell its PC business. The company is in talks with investment fund Japan Industrial Partners, and the price is said to be about 50 billion yen ($490 million). This is surprising...but then again it might not be considering how expensive a Vaio laptop is...

that is very surprising considering how much they seem to push Vaios in the cinema, you'd think Sony cares about the Vaio line. Though, come to think of it, I rarely see anyone using one, so maybe they don't sell.
