T-Mobile, in their ongoing efforts to turnaround the U.S. carrier market, has offered a new plan for budget-conscious consumers.
The new "Simple Starter" plan offers unlimited text, talk and 500MB of 2G/3G/4G data for just $40 per month. The data is a strong cap, unlike T-Mobile's other plans which offer unlimited data but the speeds are throttled to 2G after the stated amount.

T-Mobile is the worst service available. Example ... I often go to Poughkeepsie NY on the Taconic State Parkway. With T-Mobile I only had disgusting "E" (EDGE) service for most of the ride. Now with AT&T I have 4G LTE throughout the entire trip. Forget T-Mobile !

Bitching about cell service is sooo old! Tmobile rocks in the Chicagoland region, Phoenix metro, Tampa area, etc etc. Sucks in boatload of other spaces too. BUT SO DO ATT AND VERIZON AND SPRINT! Sprint being the worst, Verizon sucks in Bolingbrook, IL. Sucks so many other spots. Same things for ATT. As a tech, I pay attention and see it all all the time.
If you don't get signal strength there then it's absolutely logical and expected that you'll go to another company. Unless you're in the sticks and ya got nothin. So quit s-talking Tmo because your particular area is weak. I bet they let you out of contract free and clear and said "thanks" to a painless situation.
