I've met Michael on a few occasions when he has visited the Personal Computer Museum pcmuseum.ca where I sometimes volunteer. Michael is a really great guy, very down to earth and extremely knowledgeable about games. I'm sure that Michael's "family need" is important. I respect his decision but feel sorry that he has to sell his collection. I hope it finds a good home.

I'm sure he's a cool guy and no doubt he has the most vast library of games ever. However, when you are making an auction, don't claim your "bidding starts at $1!" as if it's meant to mean anything when you have a RESERVE price attached to it. That $1 bid don't mean crap when reserve still hasn't hit after $50,000. I not sure what he expects to get out of it, but it won't be no $1 million + that's for sure. He'll be lucky if he gets over $100,000 for it all. 9 days left, but what he seems to not consider is that most collectors are very picky about what they want and they don't to add triples or quads wasting up much needed space for what they just want to collect. Best of luck to him, and sucks about his family needs: but still, he may just end up not even selling it. I guess we'll know shortly.
