Surprisingly, not just teens and young adults are console owners and streaming content, with 32 percent of console owners between 31 and 47 also actively streaming movies or TV.
How is this surprising? I'm 36 and still consider myself a young adult. I grew up during the age technology was being born in the household and rapidly changing. It's only fitting our demographic evolve with it.

Just means more gamers either stream, or they find more "entertainment" value in purchasing a console that can do everything, versus a Roku or AppleTV

However, I'm probably in the minority of not using my consoles to stream at all, because I don't pay for Xbox Live, which was previously required for Netflix, etc.

Simply bec the console caters to more people than a PC bec it's easier and more practical across ALL ages. This is not news nor is it surprising in any way!

I just had a discussion with my friend about Hulu, and how I refuse to watch anything on my PC. I understand some people have nice HTPC setups, but consoles or dedicated boxes (I use a Roku) are far easier to setup and use, plus they're fairly quiet and do not require maintenance or a bunch of wires to hide.
