"Nest Wave" had let users silence alerts temporarily just by waving their arms.
Haha. I'm not sure that's such a good idea.

Its a lot easier being righteous than right.

Every time I put my oven over 450F my smoke detector trips. If I could shut it the hell up by waving my hands then I would.

Okay.......while the Nest thermostat is kinda cool......actually I think it's very cool, this lame ass idea that only a schlomo would buy into for 99 bucks is a complete waste of money!

A 130 dollar (now 99) smoke detector/CO2 detector???? WTF and WHO THE F would honestly justify this?

You have access to it at all times via your smartphone. You get a notification if it ever goes off. Also, it speaks to you letting you know when smoke or monoxide levels are getting high, as a warning, rather than traditional alarms that just go off, even if nothing is burning. Very cool features, but yes, relatively expensive for a smoke alarm.

This smoke detector and their thermostat having remote access... thanks but no thanks.

Hackers have enough on their plates to play with already. These gadgets are just more targets for them to screw with.

Sure, there's really nothing they can gain financially, but they'll do it just because they can.

Real "Chefs" cook at 350F, it take longer to cooks wherever but they achieve better results. [Is like burning a DVD at half speed for better results].

For a $130 & now $99 they better turn the fire off, if it happening. Other way NO, but No-Thx.
