That's 617 dollars US.

ANYONE that actually pays into this nonsense and almost doubles the effective purchase price is a goof!

An extra 216 bucks (brand spanking new retail) just to have it colored the ugly gray that was used way back when????????

Am I to believe that there are fools out there that will get this??? OF COURSE. "Sheeple"

Rarity increases perceived value. This is for collectors and die-hard Sony fans, not the general mass.

The "extra 216 dollars" is the price of getting a very limited edition of a ps4. Plus your math sucks. It's not a 216 US dollar difference.
