Help me out Again, Backup Weird Results

Hi guys just notice another thing.
When I use DVD Shrink 3.2 to open the disc I get a
Not Encrypted on some DVD's and more often a code or some sort C0:00:00:12:C1
What?s all this? Could be this stopping making the picture go away on my telly? The protection?
I thought DVD Shrink 3.2 removed all security.
I'm Right?
Plus I use DVD4Free and on the taskbar, I get a yellow face but I remember when I inserted a DVD I would get a Green face. Could this be anything to do it?
I have Remove and install DVD4free a few times, but don?t get the green face no more. Why?
I done another trial and now I get DVD Shrink 3.2 to burn DVD not VCD anymore, so one problem sorted. But this DVD was a backup already, and had no Not Encrypted.

Have you checked the manufacturers ID on the media to verify that it's Riteck GO4? If not here is the link to an appliication that will do that for you. I've been using Ritek for over 2 years with no problems. The application below does not contain spyware just and advert which it loads once.

Yes I checked the sites you posted, I can't really comment on them because I live in North America. I can only accept their claim that they are selling what they say they are.
You got all of that from the Media code/manufacturer ID? The line Ritek GO4 I recognize all the rest of that I've never seen before. I wouldn't buy any more of that media because it's starting to sound as though you may have purchased some bad media. Sometimes a media manufacturer will dump a bad lot of media to be sold for data storage and its sometimes sold as OEM. Unfortunately some unscrupulous business people will buy it and sell it as quality media.
Have you tried another brand?

Blade you need to get either burn&go nitro cd/dvd or easy cd creator#6 or Nero. I use burn& go nitro and easy cd creator I nevered used Nero the burner that you and I have works great with this software remember I have had this burner for over a year burning movies I know what it likes and dont like.
The reason you need this EXTRA software is because once you shrink your movie with DVD Shrink it will give you a folder with two files in it VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS if you are trying to burn your movie with decrypter you must convert those TS FILES IN TO ISO FILES WHICH WILL ADD ANOTHER 25MIN TO THE PROCESS.
I like burn&go nitro only $19 at best buy or walmart
once you buy this software follow the instructions below. Remember over the last year I have tried all kinds of setup with this burner.
1. put dvd movie in dvd rw drive
2. open up dvd shrink
3. click on open disk
4. select your dvd rw drive
5. click ok
6. wait until DVD Shrink analyze the dvd movie (around 2min)
7. double click RE-AUTHER
8. double click on TITLE 1 under main movie this should move title 1 into the left side window and this will only record the main movie no extras the less the better.
9. click back-up
10. select target drive device:hard disk folder
11. select target folder for dvd output files: C:\name of movie
12. click ok and wait for move to finish this should take around 25 to 45 min
13. once the movie is copied to your hard drive take the dvd out of the drive.
14. next put in a blank dvd
15. double click burn&go nitro
16. click create new disk
17. click dvd
18. click data disk
19.click on local drive C:\ and find your movie that you just copied to your hard drive double click on that folder you shuold now see to files AUDIO & VIDEO TS FILES double click on each file this will move the files to the left window
20. click next
21. click burn
22. wait for movie to burn when done watch movie and make sure all went well if so delete movie from hard drive.
EASY DC CREATOR#6
FOLLOW THIS AFTER USING SHRINK
1. put in blank dvd disk
2. double click on roxio easy cd/dvd creator
3. click on CLASSIC CREATOR
4. click on file then new project then data
5. double click on local drive C:\name of movie
6. you should see two files named AUDIO_TS VIDEO_TS
7. double click on both of the files this should move the files to the bottom window
8. click burn
9. wait for movie to finish
10. take movie out and watch it if all is well delete movie from hard drive unless you want to make another copy the move does not turn out right change your media and copy again. I use MAXELL FOR SOME REASON THIS BURNER LIKES MAXELL. BUT TRY WHAT MEDIA YOU WANT.
LET ME KNOW HOW THINGS TURNED OUT REMEMBER DONT SPEND A LOT OF MONEY ON SOFTWARE MOST OF IT IS FREE BUT YOU DO NEED THE SOFWARE I MEMTIONED ABOVE

Blade I've tried using dvd4free with little success and all other setups I was using xcopy express for the longest by 123 studios had good success but the setup I gave you above will work is the best for this burner make sure you delete dvd4free. Trust Me.

Also I would ditch DVD43, I've seen too many people having issues with it. All you need is Shrink and Decrypter(Nero works too). I think your steps are wrong when burning with Nero. And you said you were successful with Shrink w/ Decrypter?

I never said I used Nero; I dont have to I have great success without Nero & I almost never use Decrypter I just use DVD Shrink with BURN&GO NITRO CD/DVD OR EASY CD CREATOR#6(roxio)the steps I gave were for shrink and burn&go nitro and easy cd creator.

you are right;im sorry, Nero is a great product but it does not work for everybody I was just giving some advice because I have that same burner over 1yr now and I tried all kinds of setups(with 5 types of blank media) I think he or she would have great success if they follows my instructions. I also have an external sony DRX-510UL dvd rw that owned for over 2ys and I use different setup with it.

Shrink 3.2

Hi guys good news, now DVD Shrink 3.2 and Nero 6.3 they all do what they were made to do.
so no problems there.
just whats puzzling me is why do i get the TV Screen to Go Black and sound playing in the Background?
i haven try watching a whole film sense the new changes so dont know if it still happens but, if it does what can this be?
is there a guide to Decrypter?
will Shrink or Decrypter( i know there name mighty say it) read past Encrypted DVD's? or with Decrypter would need a another programs because of the protection>?

Hi and yes everything is burning and programs working, no idea what it was, i have follow so many guides for your guys that i dont know who fixed what.
just whats puzzling me is why do i get the TV Screen to Go Black and sound playing in the Background? when the DVD-r is playing, and again not always on the same place, but i still need to play sense the changes to see if it still happens or not.
SO for now Thanks for all that looked and gave me advise.

For what its worth. I have a asus motherboard p4p800e with intel 865pe chipset, running XP. My system is new and will do everything “but” shrink. Knowing the software worked well for others, I knew it was my system. All I had to do to solve the problem was download a device update software package and run it. It listed all the devices on my “new” system that needed to be updated, which was considerable. These programs are free on the web for a period of time, you only need one night. They read your system, search for updates and supply them to you. All you have to do is use it. It may not solve your problems. But it will certainly remove devices as an issue.

what DVD-R do you use?
i cant find any nitro burn & go! do you a website?
i want to test with diff DVD-r can you guys post a site and advise me on diff DVD-r?
not matter if it in the US i try looking at the decription and find it in the UK.

I'm in the U.S; I use MAXELL DVD'S for some reason this works for me after I burn a movie I let 5 friends watch the movie and they all say it was CRYSTEL CLEAR. THE WEB SITE FOR BURN&GO NITRO CD/DVD--- IS
WWW.VALUSOFT.COM
Get this software and the only thing you have to use is shrink & burn& go nitro cd/dvd. There is always more then one way to skin a cat.

Hi Darkblade,
I had major strange problems simular to those presented. But only Only using shrink. I was able to solve them all by simply updating the device dreivers on my "new" system. I am in the San diego, and the system has a optorite dvd rw dd0405.
This is one of the web sites offering the device driver search, that both checks your computer then finds the latest update for you + provides ownload links for them.

I just use Ritek G04 DVD-R,white top printables that I get from computer fairs at £8.50 for spindle of 25,its worth downloading www.dvdinfopro as reccomended by Sophocles .Sometimes I use the combination of AnyDVD and Nero Recode 2 for "difficult" movies.
