Lenovo site defaced by Lizard Squad

article published on 25 February, 2015

Earlier today, Lenovo.com got defaced by someone claiming to be the Lizard Squad, an embarrassing take down and more bad PR for the company still reeling from the fallout of pre-installing adware on some of their PCs. At around 4PM, visitors to the site saw a slideshow of teens with 'Breaking Free' from High School Musical playing in the background. The attackers are said to have ... [ read the full article ]

They should have hit Phony....drop the FLIP15A will you!!!!

Copyright infringement is nothing more than civil disobedience to a bad set of laws. Lets renegotiate them.

This couldn't have happened to a more deserving company. If reinstalled every version of Windows and it never takes longer than about 30 minutes. Lenovo provides a set of 4 discs that must be inserted and reinserted over and over in order to get not just Windows installed but a terrible amount of Lenovo software all designed to sell you more Lenovo stuff. This causes the simple reinstallation of Win 7 to take anywhere from 4 to 8 hours and in 7 reinstalls has yet to give me one stable installation of Win 7. Promised and paid for tech support is non existent. This is not just on $100 tablets but on $3,000 + notebooks. Lenovo is the sorriest most pathetic company I have ever dealt with. They ship used and damaged recovery discs when they decide to not help with a problem but rather force you to reinstall Windows. I paid for next day on-site service yet the most recent parts replacement left me without a computer for 11 days. All Lenovo would say is it's in the fine print that the next day service only applies if they happen to have the part you need in stock. my notebook is a fairly popular and recent unit and yet no LCD screens or motherboards were available. The only part they had in stock was the replacement keyboard required due to their inept repairman being brutally rough with the notebook. They ignore the warranty agreement yet who is there to enforce it? Plus there is something odd with the identity of Lenovo because it seems to be a Chinese company, IBM still answers the tech line and sends you to the Lenovo extension. Six months has taught me to trust Lenovo about as much as their Chinese overlords.

there's hacking, then there's being an attention whore with a massive ego bordering on a nuisance which is what the lizard fags are all about.

My mom bought an Asus Laptop back in November and it came pre-installed with a program called "StormWatch" which is adware/malware.

So Lenovo isn't the only one pre-installing this crap
