High-end luxury watch maker Breitling has unveiled its first smartwatch, the B55 Connected, although the watch will not work like Android Wear devices or the Apple Watch.
The B55 Connected does not have a touchscreen nor does it have a catalog of apps and it certainly can't display any synced notifications.

Wow. $7,500 for a watch - just so I can set the date and time with my phone. I have a Casio G-Shock that sets itself every night via radio from an atomic clock. It even adjusts automatically for daylight saving time. The watch is solar powered so it never needs winding, batteries or charging. Got it for $50.
Yes Breitling and Panerai make nice looking timepieces BUT they are NOT worth even close to the prices they "command".
There aren't 7500 worth of parts, technology or craftsmanship. I don't believe they're hand made and the parts inside, mechanical or other are not worth the price.
Rolex watches wouldn't be worth the price either if they hadn't been made of solid gold.
This is a gimmick for the losers out there that are mostly concerned with how others perceive them.
I've got a friend who buys these things, he's all about style before comfort in everything he does........like a black person.
Coincidentally the Breitling logo looks almost identical to that of the Bentley.

Agreed. I just don't see the appeal of high end watches. At the end of the day, both can tell me what time it is with a high degree of accuracy. Something like a Breitling, Rolex, TAG, etc will likely be an investment and a nice piece of bling. I'll stick with inexpensive and functional.
