Cyanogen drops OnePlus partnership, officially

article published on 28 April, 2015

After months of fighting, Cyanogen has officially dropped OnePlus as one of its hardware partners. The move was entirely expected, especially since OnePlus has already begun using their own OxygenOS operating system on their devices. Cyanogen's Steve Kondik says the two companies had completely different visions and this caused clashes between employees and philosophies. "That's probably ... [ read the full article ]

THis is just my personal opinion, but I believe that Cyanogen's rather terrible customer support may have something to do with this. Just check their forums, sometime =p .

I LIKE (and use) CyanogenMod, but I had to roll back my Sprint Galaxy S3 to 10.2.1, because CM11 essentially broke my phone in several important ways: battery calibration basically died, and GPS refused to work on anything but wifi-tether mode. Bleh. And if you read the responses to the people who have/had similar issues... Nothing of use, except rough equivalents of Apple's "you're holding it wrong".

of course they used you ... that's what they paid you for duh..

but the fact that its cheap , powerful ,tons of memory and unlocked had absolutely nothing to do with it selling well.not to mention it got your brand into the hands of people who had never heard of you before... get off your high horse.
