I am ripping Hellboy and have done it a couple times, but I do not seem to get the audio to play.

After I do the backup to my hard drive, I use powerdvd to preview the files I copied and I get a perfect video, but no audio. Has anyone else experienced this?

Could it be a problem with my computer DVD player/software and not a problem with the actual copy that is on my hard drive, so I just need to burn it to DVD and play it?

Thanks

PS I have just upgraded to 3.2 DVD Shrinker

Make sure you have the correct audio boxes selected. Use Shrink's preview window to check. Just right click on the preview window and select "audio" from the menu. That opens a list of audio tracks you can preview. I usually check the 5.1 AC3 box.

I think it may be a mistake to burn a disc if you can't get the audio to play in PowerDVD. That is a good indication that there is no audio track to begin with.

Try playing the original disc with your computer and PowerDVD and see if you have audio.

Cheers,
Frank

The same thing is happeneing when I try to back up 13 Going On 30. Like I said I have backed up 20-30 of my other DVD's. Right before I tried 13 Going on 30 I backed up Hildalgo and it worked perfectly fine?

I have the same problem as boy1, but when I burn the files onto a DVD-R/W and then put it in my stand-alone DVD player the audio works fine. Any ideas why the audio doesn't work on my computer? This only happens on SOME of the movies, not all.
