LG has announced a new limited edition premium smartwatch, the LG Watch Urbane Luxe, in partnership with U.S. jewelry retailers REEDS. Before all ya'll go out and become ghetto rich (a gentle euphemism for what I really meant) and buy this wearable tech garbage...REMEMBER.......it's "gold plated"

For 1200 bucks they could have used SOLID gold at 18 carat.

The gold on this will eventually rub off.

I know some people that would like to be "handled lovingly by 30 experienced leatherworkers".

I'm not a watch geek...just a tech geek. I don't understand why someone would spend $1,000+ on something that will be obsolete in a year or two. Yes, I have bought technology that cost upwards of a grand. At least it was something that was used frequently (smartphone) or will be used for years without becoming obsolete (61" TV).
