The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has warned Windows PC owners that they should uninstall Apple's QuickTime, after major vulnerabilities were found in the software. Why did they have it installed in the first place? I have been using PCs for nearly 25 years now and have NEVER installed iTunes on any of my or my client's Windows PC. Have never needed it!

Ummm...What? iTunes ≠ Quicktime!

Ummm...What? iTunes ≠ Quicktime!
Quicktime used to be bundled with the iTunes install on Windows.

So what is a Quicktime PRO user to do who's actually PAID for the Pro version?

I'm running Windows 10 on all my computers and Quicktime is installed and running on them.

Seems a bit weird for Homeland Security to be issuing a warning like this is it not? Possible petty swipe due to Apple thwarting the efforts of the FBI and making the US government look a bit silly.
