Having problems burning with Nero 6.3117

I burned a DVD with DVD xcopy Xpress. I save image to HD from Xcopy temp folder befor I put a blank dvd+r in TDKRW840G recorder. Then I push start from DVD xcopy Xpress. After that it says Burn complete. I put DVD back in Rom drive to see if it starts up in my computer. It dosent. SO I look to see if there is any info in DVD dick. No.Nothing was burned on DVD. So I try to take the filed I saved in the temp files to burn with Nero. I put it in the TS fold and then push Burn. I get DVD-VIDEO files reallocation faild." The resulting DVD.VIDEO might be unplayable. Do you want to continue." I click yes. THen another Error comes up. "A non critical error occuared durring........ What is going on? Can anyone help? Thanks

Probably in your process. Why don't you start over with Shrink and Decrypter.

_I assume you have 2 folders named "VIDEO_TS" and "AUDIO_TS" . The first folder contains all your .VOB, .ifo and .bup files while the second folder is blank .
_In Nero, did you select "DVD"-->DVD-Video option ? If you fail this step, the message you got usually shows up .
I have burnt over 200 movies DVDs with Nero and sofar, no problem at all.
When I used "DVD xcopy Xpress" to recode movie DVDs > 7 gigs, the recoded files showed pixelation problems. I wonder if you experienced the same issue ?
Currently, I switched to PowerDVDCopy ; I used DVD Shrink for compression level > 70% only.

Remember when I'm trying to burn the .VOB,.bup,.ifo I saved from xpress, I get an error message. And yes. I opened Nero Burning Rom and selected DVD then DVD-Video then New. I put my .VOB .ifo .bup files in the VIDEO_TS Folder. I have the Full upgrade from Nero 6.
I downloaded DVD Shrink 3.2 last night and it burned my DVD. But picture quality isn't the same. DVD Xcopy Xpress did a better job. I think for some reson my coding for the US (CSS) is corrupted with DVD Xpress. DVD Shrink encoded then burned. Why do you think the files I copied and saved from Xpress then burned with Nero 6 can't be watched on my DVD player. I never had this problem till I reformatted my HD. Then reinstalled DVD Xpress and upgrade to Nero 6? DVD
Xpress was Burning over 200 DVDs and never had a problem. I have Windows XP. Thanks

_Did you use AnyDVD to remove CSS protection when using DVD Xcopy Xpress?
_Your problem occured with all movie DVDs or just one specific DVD movie ?

I never had to use anything else before to remove css from the movies I copied from xpress. I just put the movie in, it copied it then I put a Blank DVD R+/- RW+/-. It burns. Then put it in my DVD or in my car and it worked. Now Nothing. I have to use DVD Shrink and don't like it. I downloaded Adaptec ASPI v4.71.2 and open it up. It tells me and message. " 16 bit windows Subsystem " .. c:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32|AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the application.
I used Nero InfoTool to check my ASPI.I get the same Error but I get this also in the same error. c:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\cmd.exe. I click Ignore and the test runs and finishes.
In the Nero InfoTool window. I click ASPI tab. in ASPI Installed box I see System ASPI. Under folders it shows: 2 File:" WNASPI32.DLL Version: 4.71 {0001}And File: ASPI32SYS Version: 4.71 {0001} built by: WinDDK " Now. On the bottom of the InfoTool where it tells you if the ASPI drive is working. It dark red and says: " ASPI installation is corrupted "
Okay. Now I click in Nero InfoTool. ASPI installation tab to Nero ASPI. File: WNASPI32.DLL Version: 2.0.1.59. On the bottom of the InfoTool where it tells you if the ASPI drive is working. It says. In dark green. ASPI is installed and working properly. Is there suppose to be 2 files in the System ASPI folder? Also. Could this be my problem? If so. How can I fix it? Thanks.

To Straighten out your ASPI Setup -- take a gander at this web site and use Force ASPI -- ! Pay particular attention to the Installation -- and you cant go wrong.

You will also find a link there that will enlighten you on what ASPI layers are.

In your case, I would uninstall all ASPI files from Adaptec and Nero , restart the system then install the latest Adaptec ASPI ( v4.7.1.2 ) and see what will happen . My hunch is that you are having a driver conflict issue here.

Okay. I unistalled all ASPI.SYS and wnaspi32.DLL files from my computer now I don't have a System ASPI driver in the folder.I dont have that the red backround letters. It's yellow and says: ASPI not installed on both System ASPI and Nero ASPI. Oh ya. I forgot. I downloaded WinMD5 v2.0 Then ran WinMD5 porgram. I put the ASPI folder in it. ( WinMD5 ) All the files comes back in the Status:(ROW) Unknown.
The Paths are: install.bat, aspi\apix46.vx_, aspi\aspi2k.sy_, aspi\aspi32.sy_....so on and so on.
WHat know?

What happened when you double-clicked on install.bat ?
As a last resort, you may have to use Force ASPI , D/L from here :
http://radified.com/ASPI/forceaspi.htm
In case your system did not run the DOS files , then I could not help you here. This is an O/S issue, not DVD anymore ! Other experts may find you a solution .

When using Xpress are you doing "movie only"? What version are you using.
For aspi ... Install ForceASPI v1.8

I would recommend that you use ForceASPI in the following way...
Run dumpASPI to backup your current ASPI layer
Run instASPI to install the new ASPI layer
Reboot your PC
Run aspichk to see if everything worked OK
If you would rather install adaptec aspi v4.71.2 you don't click install bat. You do it this way:
Installing Adapted ASPI v4.71.2
1)Click Start, then Run
2)Click Browse, then choose Local Disk
3)Click Adaptec, then ASPI
4)Click Install, then Open
Will look as follows:
C:\adaptec\aspi\install.bat
5)Now type xp32 at the end. Make sure you space after .bat
C:\adaptec\aspi\install.bat xp32
6)Click Ok, reboot. Now run aspichk. Should look as follows:
ASPI32.SYS 4.71.2
WOWPOST.EXE Not Installed
WINASPI.DLL Not Installed
WNASPI32.DLL 4.71.2

Nero has a general Clean-up Tool you can use to undo what you have now. it's available at :-http://www.nero.com/us/631940828445001.html
Reboot your PC.
Once this is done -- Shut down all other software running in the background and Re-install a fresh copy of your Nero Ultra6 -- put in your serial number issued by Nero.
Reboot your PC.
Download Force ASPI and aspichk.exe -- Use killASPI or dumpAspi first then instASPI.
You can check if everything went well by using aspichk.exe ~~
If you follow the threads in this Forum ~~You will find that the latest Adaptec ASPI ( v4.7.1.2 )layers
are not recommended with Nero -- !
If this does not solve your problem -- why not post your Nero Info tool log on here so we can see exactely what you have. Taking pot shots in the dark, never bring much results ~~

Okay, now when I start uo Nero InfoTool an error comes up again.16 bit windows Subsystem:

Should I find cmd.exe and AUTOEXEC.NT and delete them? Isn't AUTOEXEC.NT for Windows NT?
Now after I click Ignore for the "16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem" erro the InfoTool Opens. Now both ASPI System and ASPI Nero Drivers are saying: ( In Green )- "ASPI is installed and working properly."
It worked so far. Just havent burned a DVD yet.I conserned about the error meassge I'm getting.

Thanks. I got out my a+ books and stared reading it. Thanks for everyones help. I got it working with no errors.
The only thing I need to know now is. Why did I befor when using nero 5 I could burn a copy from my HD I saved from DVD xpress to a DVD. Just copied to dvd-r. I cant anymore. I have Nero 6 full ver. and when I copy from Nero Burning Rom ,DVD-Video, to VIDEO_TS folder. It copies all the files onto the DVD. WHEN IT'S done copying. I take it out and put it in my DVD played it says Error. Clean disk.. I put it in my computer and it works great.
Now back to when I am in Nero Nero Burning Rom ,DVD-Video, to VIDEO_TS folder. WHen I push burn it gives me this error. DVD-VIDEO files reallocation faild." The resulting DVD.VIDEO might be unplayable. Do you want to continue." I click yes. (Remember. I already have all the vob,ifo bup files in the VIDEO_TS folder.)Then another one comes up. Saying: A non critical error occurred during the operation, which may result in a defective write. Do you wish to continue the write anyway? I click yes. So then it writes and gives me these massages in the burn window:

6:36:10PM Required file "VIDEO_TS.VOB" is not present
6:36:10PM DVD-Video files realloction faild
6:36:11PM DVD-Video files copliance ignored

In order for us to help you out, please provide a specific case with detailed infos like the following :
_Did you use DVD Shink 3.2 or DVD Xpress to rip the DVD movie in question ?
_Did you ever try another DVD burning program to burn the ripped files ( for example : CopyToDVD v3.0.23b) ?
_Did you have a successful DVD using DVD Shrink and burnt with Nero ?
I try to figure out where the heart of your problem lies : Is it due to a faulty ripped files or Nero prblem.

Thanks guys for all your help. I could not have done this with out your help. Thanks again. I don;t get the error message anymore from Nero InfoToll. ALl my ASPI drivers are all there and working find now.

Q _Did you use DVD Shink 3.2 or DVD Xpress to rip the DVD movie in question ?
A_ I used DVD Xpress
Q_Did you ever try another DVD burning program to burn the ripped files ( for example : CopyToDVD v3.0.23b) ?
I just did. I used CopyToDVD v3.0.26 to burn my Hard Drive VIDEO_TS backups and it worked.
How can I use Nero so I can burn my Backup dvd video files like I just did with CopyToDVD? I don't want to have to buy CopyToDVD. Is there anything I can do? Please let me know thanks.
