After fiddling around with just about every changeable aspect of burning PS2 backups, I have gotten them to work WITH a few minor problems. The games just feel buggy. Ratchet and Clank GC's music tracks sometimes skip, while NCAA college football's band march music hiccups as well. Final fantasy X2 will work fine one time, then the next time I play it takes forever to load and just skips wildly. I have a LITEON SOHW 8125 with a version 4 PS2 using magic swap and slide. I use maxelL DVD-R's (can't find this Ritek brand you all talk about)I use DVD Decrypter for most burns (had to use alchol 120 for NCAA because DVD decrypter couldn't get the job done). Anyway, could it be the PS2 laser? Is it the DVD drive? Is it the Media? Is it something I said? Wasup?

Anything can be done, it's just a matter of knowing how to do it.

most probably it's your laser. the same thing happened to me. How old is ur PS2? Maxells are the best. I have an HP DVD Burner that works perfect. I also use both the same softwares as you.

I use a Lite on 812 also with no problems with decrypter(including NCAA 05) I had experience skips in almost every game I tried, while my backups worked perfectly on my friends system(same version ps2, swap magic also) so I used a qtip on my laser lens(very gently) and used a vacuum on all the vents and cleaned the fan blades on back with a qtip also. I also started with verbatim discs, then used memorex(like my friend did) then went back to verbatim yesterday and recopied all my memorex backups on verbatim discs and the new copies worked flawlessly including NCAA 05 and Madden 05. I see what everyone talks about using good media because the Verbatim's( which use the same dye as Ritek's I believe) are the way to go, not that expensive either. Best buy always runs a rebate on verbatims every other week or so.

I experienced the same problem with Madden 2005 and NCAA 2005 on Sony DVD-R. I tried the Q tip and changed media. My NCAA 2005 now works fine on Imation DVD-R.
