Hi,

The first thing that jumps out at me is that you're using a very old version of Nero that's known to be buggy so updating it would be the first thing that I'd do :)

Would suggest enabling DMA on your CD-ROM - this will improve your transfer speeds

Yes, but he was using his DVD recorder and had an illegle disc after the burn process was started, that's why I think it's a bad disc.

Basicly Memorex DVD's suck. No one go off on a tangent, Sometimes Memorex are good mostly not. Get either Verbatim or "branded" Ritek G-04. They are not that expensive anymore and are very high quality. I believe this will solve your problem.

Aren't Ritek G04's DVD-R discs? Maybe the recommended disc should be Ritek R03's which are available thru the 15th of August with a $10 mail in rebate which brings the price of 100 down to $31.99 plus .99¢ for shipping - GOOD PRICE

You say that you are using a Hewlett-Packard model DVD100i DVD burner and that you are trying to burn DVD+R's in it. Well, according to HP this unit will work only with DVD+RW's. That is why, some time ago, HP ran a program to exchange model DVD100i units with new model DVD200i. DVD+RW's came first than DVD+R's and apparently HP said at that time that with a new firmware the DVD100i model would have been capable of burning the DVD+R's. But they were not able to do that and owners of the DVD100i started complaining loudly. So HP exchanged the units for $99 each. The $99 was for the new software included with the DVD200i. I was one of the lucky ones that got the DVD200i.
