Pay more, get less. Nexus is dead, Dev's won't be attracted to these iphone prices, and consumers won't be attracted to early alpha iphone experiences.

The whole release looks like google was chasing after apple backwards and slipped on their own crap.

High end my ass!

These are run-of-the-mill just as ALL PHONES are these days. All the same, nothing stands out in ANY phone now.

This is merely a Nexus replacement, nothing more and nothing less.

Ditch your cell phones people as I did 3 years ago and trust me when I say it'll be the BEST DECISION you will ever make (once you persevere thru cell phone withdrawal as I did)

The "smartphone" has become the typical house phone...........dare I even say comparable to the ROTARY house phone. It's there, does NOTHING special from any other smart phone (even the basic ones) and people see them as just another piece of average tech that they need simply to stay in touch that sits on the table.

NO ONE is moved by phones anymore.......yet Apple and Samsung relentlessly and environmentally irresponsibly pump this shit out like they were just invented.

First of all Google cut the bullcrap! Talking crap about they built the phone themselves. This is clearly an HTC design and the only input they included was slap a piece of stupid glass behind it for no reason. People keep saying, ohhh everyones complaining about the price but other smart phone makers have high prices as well but they fail to realize that with them your getting a lot more features compared this the pixel. No waterproofing, no wireless charging, no dual speakers, no OIS, no forcetouch (iPhones niche), no removable battery (Don't care about this but some see it as a feature) I mean whats the selling point? A Assistant that I'm sure will make its way to other android devices all be it little later? This is why people are complaining about the price because they can get better phone with this same price. They were expecting Google to at least stay on the same level as everyone else. This is like when HTC released the A9 with premium price and outdated specs, same dang thing, just dressed up in google clothes.
