Next major Windows 10 update coming in March?

article published on 15 October, 2016

Windows 10 has definitely been one of the more successful OS launches for Microsoft and even the growth after the initial launch has been decent thanks to free upgrade for a full year. Development however continues, and some clues have been found that we might see a major update in early 2017. A twitter user has found clues of upcoming major update in a test version of Windows 10. By what metrics? It has been a disaster for customers (especially those that got it forced on them), it has been a disaster for institutions that have suffered huge productivity problems, and it really hasn't made much money because it is free (still overpriced if you ask me).

Definition of computer virus: a piece of code that is capable of copying itself [Windows 10 does this] and typically has a detrimental effect, such as corrupting the system or destroying data [it overwrites Windows 7, and has totally corrupted a lot of drives leading to computer that won't even boot].

So, it meets the definition of a virus...and that's about the only way you can claim it was successful; it is one of the most successful viruses in history.

@ KillerBug: It's not free, any more.

I just can't wait for M$ to reset all of my app preferences again, just like the Anniversary update! [/sarc]

Good to know 'cause if ALL Windows 10 installation were terrible then Microsoft should shut down.

That being said, 10 has MANY problems that only avid techs would likely encounter at some point in time so while it's nice to hear the occasional success story with Windows 10, there are WAY TOO MANY 10 issues for it to be considered "successfully launched"
