When the iPhone 7 came out, the iPhone 6 was being widely trounced based on Touch Disease. The iPhone 5 was many years old. The fact that the iPhone 7 was getting most of the sales isn't a positive statement about the iPhone 7; it was the only choice left given that the other Apple phones were not a realistic choice.
