Samsung has announced an upgrade program for South Korean customers who purchased a Galaxy Note7 and traded it in for a Galaxy S7.
If you traded in your exploding Note7 you can trade up to a Galaxy S8 or Note8 next year through a special upgrade program. You will only have to pay half the price of the S7 to upgrade to the S8 or Note8, marking a pretty significant discount.

Samsung........they USED to be synonymous with "quality" "longevity" and "reliable"
Their shit no longer merits these attributes. Even their televisions are milled out. Problem after problem.
Now I know many will ring in and claim "i have no issues" and that is GREAT, as a company should be shut down with extreme prejudice if they only sell faulty equipment. However, Samsung's product line is nothing like it used to be and they are simply a "MILL" for pumping out sub-par electronics.
Samsung was among the first 2 or 3 companies that actually produced the crystal part of the LCD panel, along with Fujitsu. Wonder if that still is the case. I would think so since they make crap.

Seems this is the way most companies are going these days... They product great products in order to get market share, customer loyalty... Then after a while it seems the bean counters come in and demand to see better returns on investment and maximize profits... To do so as you mention they outsource there stuff to 3rd (hell 10th) rate companies that have no concern for quality since it really isn't their name on the product.... Finally we see exactly what is happening... There are a number of brands i've seen the cycle all to often, Sony, Pioneer are two I'd consider have gone the same way, use to be great then turn to producing crap...
