Yahoo released a statement yesterday saying again that its servers have been hacked. This time unauthorized third party was able to collect data from up to one billion user accounts. In September Yahoo revealed that in 2012 its service was hacked and data from as many as 500 million users had leaked. At that point it was considered the largest hack in history. Yahoo! would be better off closing doors and ridding us of their shitty search results PLAGUED by illegit ads to fund their ongoing nonsense that has become irrelevant in recent years.

Yeah, about all Yahoo is good for is providing funding to keep mozilla running (they pay heavily to be the default search engine). I've been told they are good for stocks too, but I don't do much trading and when I do trading I prefer other platforms for news and numbers and don't use a ticker. The amazing thing is that people still use them for email, in huge numbers. I'd honestly feel safer using a service provided by the CCP at this point.
