Hello I have loads of games for both consoles and my kids are always changing the games discs, as you can emagine the discs are now getting pretty scratched and some are playing up. I need to make backups of these because I cannot afford to keep on replacing them, i would rather the kids damage the copys rather than the originals as i can always make backups of these. If anyone can help me with some detailed info on how to do this please let me know. I have heard all sorts of storys but they never work for me, so please help me to keep my children happy over the school holidays. Send me an Email on: gozzy@blueyonder.co.uk

well what you wanna do first, is purchase a DVD Burner. MAKE sure you get a DVD + and - burner so you can burn both dvd-r and dvd+r. Most modern burners are both + and - burners so you shouldn't worry about it. And also if you want your backups to work, you need to purchase and install a Modchip. Make sure you have a professional to install your modchip because it is VERY VERY difficult to install yourself.

yes you can backup on cd's but i don't know how. All i know is that gameplay on cd would suck, there would be no videos, and it would be slow. I recommend burning ps2 games on DVD rather than cd. You need Modchip if you wanna play backup ps2 games on the playstation 2.

your answers are of no use to me at all, I know all of that anyway, I want to know what sofware to use thats all. I have now found DVD Decrypter for ripping PS2 games, but could also do with a PS2 "CD" ripper program too.
